The Robertshaw MP50-1001 (3450-001) is engineered to protect motors from potential damage due to overheating and low voltage conditions. It utilizes three Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) sensors connected in parallel to monitor the temperature of motor windings. If the temperature exceeds the factory-calibrated resistance trip point, the unit automatically shuts down the equipment to prevent damage. The protector features a 2-minute delay on break to minimize short cycling and allows adequate time for system pressures to equalize before restarting. Additionally, it continuously monitors supply voltage, shutting down the equipment if the voltage drops below the specified minimum, and prevents restart until voltage levels are restored and the time delay has elapsed. This model operates at 120V AC, 50/60 Hz, and is suitable for various industrial motor applications.
