The 1747-L542 Series C processor module is part of the SLC 500™ family, providing a reliable solution for controlling industrial processes. It features 32 KB of memory, partitioned into 28 KB for program storage and 4 KB for data storage, accommodating complex control programs and data handling requirements. The module supports a maximum of 4096 input and 4096 output points, with up to 480 analog I/O points, allowing for extensive system scalability. Communication is facilitated through an RS-232 port and a Data Highway Plus (DH+) port, enabling seamless integration with various devices and networks. The processor operates with a backplane current draw of 1 A at 5V DC and 175 mA at 24V DC. It is designed for installation in the leftmost slot (slot 0) of the 1746 chassis and is compatible with a wide range of SLC 500™ I/O modules.
